The final nursery update!!

Well, it is finished!! It took more effort than I expected and we had to do things in a different way but here are all the steps that we took to get there:

First we pushed all the furniture to the middle of the room and then we extended the purple tape to create a painting space.

Next we cut out stencils that we traced onto the wall. It was looking great. Then I tried to paint a few blocks using the stencils. Not so good....the paint was running behind the stencils and making a mess. So what did we have to do? Tape every last square that we had drawn on the wall and then paint them.

So, the final product?

We are now officially ready for baby Ethan!!

Ethan's Bedroom

Well, here is the nursery:The curtain on the left is the closet. We took the door off because it was likely to pinch little Ethan fingers, as well as run into the open nursery door. Also in this picture are two pieces of purple tape that mark where Auntie Danielle will help paint a border around the room of random dark green and yellow squares. (It will be so cool...you just wait and see)

Here is the kickin' crib and rocking chair (with really soft blanket as seen earlier). The quilt on the crib was handmade by our friend Maggie.

And, here's mommy (with 11 weeks and 2 days to go......):
